Services

The Library collection (home and foreign professional books, journals, proceedings, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, technical standards, corporate literature, final theses) are available for home lending or for reference use only within the Library.

Consultations (provided in the Study and Reading rooms) are mainly focused on issues relating to the borrowing of documents, using of the Library online catalogue as well as retrieval of information in external electronic information resources (databases).

The disabled users have at their disposal a personal computer designed for visually impaired people equipped with special programmes, a quality scanner with a professional OCR programme, and the reading magnifier. The Library building is wheelchair-accessible to the ground floor, where the disadvantaged users can be provided with all kinds of library and information services.

Copies of documents can only be made in accordance with the Copyright Law (Act No. 185/2015 Coll. on Copyright and Related Rights (as amended by Act No. 125/2016 Coll.). The Library provides two self-service multifunctional devices (photocopier, printer, and scanner); the copying of documents is provided according to the current Library price list.

The Library offers free public Internet access to all valid card holders.

Information retrievals from INTERNAL and EXTERNAL information resources.

The library services provide an electronic ordering of full-text articles from the Slovak and foreign scientific journals (not available in the Library) using electronic document delivery systems.

The library service provides an access to the materials not available within the Library stock.
